Players By LevelOur league uses a proprietary algorithm which factors in results to create precise "pairings" numbers based on a 4,000 point scale. A loose conversion to universal systems would be below 550 = below 3.0, 550 to 900 = 3.0, 900 to 1,300 = 3.5, 1,300 to 1,800 = 4.0, 1,800 to 2,300 = 4.5, above 2,300 = 5.0+. Male: 407 (45%) PT Leaguer Eric West and partner Graham McNerney (IL) will face Johan du Randt (MA) & Stephen Mitchell (MA) in the APTA Tour Indy Finals today at 10:00. Watch Indy Open Finals Livestream 10AM. McNerney is currently #1 in the APTA Cup standings, du Randt is a 6-time APTA Nationals champion and has won three with Mitchell. West is coming off a win at the APTA Tour's Midwesterns where he partnered with Tyler Fraser.
West/McNerney were the #3 seed and advanced to the final with a win over Cincinnati's Tyler Fraser and Adam Morgan (IL). Video below: Platform Tennis League players won three events and represented in every final of this year's Midwesterns (APTA Tour). In the past two years, 62 different PT League players have participated in the event. Those players have played a combined 13,327 sets in our league. Fraser/West Win Men'sCincinnati's Tyler Fraser & Eric West won the Men's Open division. They defeated Tomislav Gregurovic (CT) and Jose Salazar (CT) 6-4, 6-0 in the final. Halbauer/Jackson FinalistsEllie Halbauer and Jill Jackson reached the Women's Open finals for the second consecutive year. They lost to Alison Morgan (IL) and Charlotte Sikora (PA). Fraser/Pierce Win 90sTyler Fraser and Brad Pierce won the combined age 90s tournament. They defeated Ryan Baxter (KY) and Ed Burns (IN) in three sets. Mudre/Pierce Win 110sBrad Pierce and Pete Mudre (OH) won the combined age 110s event. They defeated Tim Schraffenberger and Fabian Schmahl in the final.

Players By Playing LevelOur league uses a proprietary algorithm that factors in results to create optimal "pairings" numbers based on a 4,000 point scale. Our more general "SOS" or Strength of Schedule number could be considered a playing level - that uses ratings 1 to 10. A loose conversion to the broadly used self-rating system would be 1 & 2 = below 3.0, 3 & 4 = 3.0, 5 & 6 = 3.5, 7 & 8 = 4.0, 9 = 4.5, 10 = 5.0. Here is a breakdown by playing level:
414 different players played 6,616 official games in the 2023 Spring/Summer Pickleball League. Players averaged 63.9 games each with 241 playing at least 50 and 358 meeting the 24-game minimum needed to qualify for awards. Danny Carollo went 4-0 in the final week and edged out Eric West and Doug Jones to win this year's Spring/Summer Platform Tennis League. Halbauer Top FemaleEllie Halbauer finished the Spring/Summer League with a 13.00 average and a 1,611 pairings points number. This is Halbauer's second league title for platform tennis. Paddle season is here. It is time to register for the Fall/Winter League. Play will again be on Thursday nights and will accommodate all levels. The priority is producing competitively compatible pairings while still providing time flexibility, variety and mobility. This is our 12th Annual Fall/Winter League - History & Champions.
