A new professional platform tennis tour just completed it's second tournament. This week's Pro Flight event was held at Fiddler's Elbow CC in Bedminster, New Jersey. 8 top men's teams and 4 top women's teams compete in each. The first included PT Leaguers Rob Bakker & Tyler Fraser and was held at Westchester CC in Rye, New York.

PT Leaguer Tyler Fraser paired with Scott Kahler (Pittsburgh) to win the West Penn Open, Pittsburgh's National Ranking tournament. Fraser/Kahler were the #1 seeds and only dropped one set in the 40-team tournament. They defeated #4 seeds Max LePivert (Stamford, CT) and Casey Watt (Pittsburgh) 6-0, 6-4 in the final.
Other PT Leaguers Participating: Eric Toth and Wil Lofgren lost in the round of 16 to #2 seeds Randy Lofgren (Charlotte, NC) and Nathan Crick (Fort Mill, SC). Lofgren/Toth finished the event tied for 11th. Toth is a two-time West Penn Open Champion. Both times he won with PT Leaguers. Once with Brian Brockhoff and once with Dan Mott.
Newcomer Kris Soller went 4-0 this week and improved to 10-6 for the season (62.5%). This was Soller's fourth court result this year and he is now locked into competition level 3. His 922 points puts him in 14th out of 29 in level 3. Other players going undefeated on courts this week were: Jimmy Dunseith (2), Kevin Taylor, Carlos Canelas and Luke White. Evan Webeler went 7-0 on two courts and improved his season record to 20-7 (74.07%). Webeler is currently in sixth place overall. Other players going undefeated on courts this week were: Luke White and Pete Sullivan. Click for Week #6 results or updated standings.
