PT Leaguer Wil Lofgren teamed up with Chicago's Jeronie Barnes (aka "The Future," bka "Dusty Seams") to finish second in the Milwaukee Open. The tournament is an APTA National Ranking Tournament & President's Cup Qualifier. Lofgren & Barnes defeated #3 seeds Mike Marino & Paget Neave in the quarterfinals, before taking out Cincinnatian Brian Compton and 3x APTA National Champion Chris Gambino in the semis. The "Platform Files" sideshow took center stage as Lofgren/Barnes faced #1 seeds Will Colmar (aka "Rusty Seams") and Adam Morgan in the final. Colmar/Morgan took the title with a 7-5, 7-5 victory.

Jimmy Dunseith went 6-0 on two courts and improved to 15-6 for the year. Dunseith has 1774 points and is in second place of Level 5. The Cincinnati Charities Mixed Platform Tennis Tournament will be held Saturday November 3. The event benefits Caring Community Collaborative. Hyde Park CC, Glendale Lyceum, Cincinnati Sports Club and Wyoming GC are listed as venues. Click City Mixed Doubles for the entry information.
PT Leaguers Tyler Fraser and Wil Lofgren participated in the Philadelphia Open, the first APTA Grand Prix event of the season. The pair lost a close round of 16 match against the #3 seeds and then made the final of the consolation. Click Fraser/Lofgren Philadelphia Open for their results. The next APTA Grand Prix event is the Chicago Charities November 2 to 4. Cincinnati's Midwesterns is once again a Grand Prix and is the third event of the season. Bill Moore and Luke White each moved into second place in their respective divisions with 4-0 performances. Moore is now 6-2 (1350 pts) for the season and is in second place in Level 3. White improved to 6-1 (2743 pts) and is in second place of Level 6. Matt Allare continues to lead the overall standings and is now 6-0 for the year. Players going undefeated on courts this week were: Moore, White, Jonah Ebenhoeh, Jimmy Dunseith, Matt Allare, Pete Tarnowski, John Van Lokeren, Todd Wise and Andrew Beto. 67 participated on 14 courts to open the 2018-19 Fall/Winter league. Matt Allare went 3-0 on a high level court to take the early lead in the overall standings. The first weekly "In or Out?" emails will go out Sunday, September 30. 1 spot open - 97 of 98 spots are now filled for Session #1 of our Fall/Winter league. We will not be adding additional spots. If you would like to play Session #1, register now.
The registration deadline for Session #1 has passed. We have 93 players registered. We have room for 98 & that will be the hard cutoff. We will accept players until we reach that number. Play starts October 4.
The deadline to register for Session #1 of the Fall/Winter League is today - Friday, September 7. We will make room for all players registered today. If we have fewer than 98, that will become the hard cutoff and we will accept additional sign ups until that number is reached. If we have 98 by today, 112 will become the hard cutoff.
