Note: Etiquette & Beer Policy Reminders Since we have several new players joining us this session, I would like to remind everyone of some general etiquette issues and policies regarding bringing beer to league night. Each of the participating clubs has slightly different rules regarding bringing outside food and beverages to platform tennis matches. To simplify, our league follows the strictest club rules and does not allow individuals to bring beer or liquor to any of the clubs. There are one or two cases where members of certain participating clubs have gotten specific permission from their club to do so. If you are not one of these individuals, do not bring beer to any Thursday league matches. Also, respect the general league rules and etiquette policies. I have noticed a few instances where players have thrown paddles inside the court. This is not tennis - throwing paddles tends to damage courts by denting screens and chipping paint. Since this is a niche sport, with just one or two companies building and repairing all of the courts, minor court repairs are expensive and complicated. If you must throw your paddle - make sure it clears the fence and does not hit the hut, bystanders or parked cars.
