This upcoming Thursday (Week #26) is the last of the Fall/Winter 2015-16 season. A completely new season, Summer 2016, starts May 5. The victories improved his season record to 37-31 (54.41%). Evan Webeler went 5-1 in two sessions and moved into 4th place overall (among players with at least 15 wins for the season). Participants will continue to get opt "In or Out?" emails through March 31. Summer League 2016 There will be just one 13-week session this summer, running from May 3 through July 28. Play will be on Thursday nights, 8:00 to 10:00, at Cincinnati Country Club, Kenwood Country Club and Glendale Lyceum. Players will again have the ability to opt out of a far away location by choosing certain geographic options. We will also have an additional Tuesday night session, from 8:00 to 10:00, at Glendale Lyceum. For this session, priority will be given to players who can only play on Tuesday that week. All players can opt "in" for Tuesdays in addition to Thursdays if they would like to play. However, play is only guaranteed on Thursdays. All players (from all teams) will opt "In or Out?" as usual for league play that week. There will be no time or location preferences that week. The top eight players (team captain + top 7 in total wins - check the individual standings) from each of the top four teams (team standings) who opt "In" for that week will participate in the team playoff. All others will participate in a series of flighted round robin tournaments. All play will start at 6:00 that week. All players will be invited to the main site for beer and pizza at 8:00. All Fall/Winter players, from both session #1 and session #2, are eligible to participate that week.
Some of you will notice that this event has been rescheduled. The APTA National Mixed Doubles tournament will be in town the week of March 17. There will be an exhibition at Kenwood CC that Thursday. We rescheduled the playoff so it would not conflict. We will still have regular league play at all of our participating clubs. PT Leaguers are encouraged to support the mixed doubles event.
