Update: Our first Pickleball league started April 18, 2022. In ten months, we've held three Spring/Summer sessions and four Indoor sessions. 411 different players have participated so far. Below are some breakdowns: Players By Session
Players By Gender
Players By Playing LevelOur league uses a proprietary algorithm that factors in results to create optimal "pairings" numbers based on a 4,000 point scale. Our more general "SOS" or Strength of Schedule number could be considered a playing level - that uses ratings 1 to 10. A loose conversion to the broadly used self-rating system would be 1 & 2 = below 3.0, 3 & 4 = 3.0, 5 & 6 = 3.5, 7 & 8 = 4.0, 9 = 4.5, 10 = 5.0. Here is a breakdown by playing level:
Venues By Session (#of courts)
PT Leaguers Ellie Halbauer & Jill Jackson made it to the finals of the 32-team Hinsdale Challenge American Platform Tennis Association ranking event. The pair lost a three-set final against the top seeds Liz Cruz and Alison Morgan from Chicago.

Registration is open for Indoor Pickleball Session #4. This is our final session of the 2022-23 indoor season. Play will alternate between ACES Pickleball + Kitchen and Ronnie Grandison Sports Academy (RGSA). 10 weeks of play, March 3 to May 5. Our second indoor session started with six courts of play at Elite Athletics Sports Complex. This counts as part of week #12 in the overall "Indoor" league season. The entire season will consist of 4 separate sessions. Session #1 at Ronnie Grandison Sports Academy (RGSA) concludes tomorrow night. Session #3, which is full, starts Sunday, February 26 at ACES Pickleball & Kitchen. Session #4 will be on Friday nights at RGSA & ACES starting March 3. Registration for Session #4 will open soon.
This past weekend’s APTA Grand Prix event was held in Short Hills, NJ. The field was one of the strongest of the season. PT Leaguers Tyler Fraser & Eric West each participated.
Registration for Indoor Pickleball Session #3 at ACES Pickleball + Kitchen has reopened. We added an additional time slot with 5 more courts. We now have room for 75 players. 51 are currently registered. All levels invited.
All Levels | Sundays at ACES Pickleball + Kitchen Registration is now open for Indoor Pickleball Session #3. Play will be at ACES Pickleball + Kitchen in Norwood. ACES is a new state-of-the-art Pickleball-centric venue with 5 dedicated indoor, 1 covered outdoor and 5 open-air outdoor courts.
17 of 36 spots are filled for our second indoor pickleball session. This smaller group will cater to lower level players only - beginner to under 3.5. Play will be on Tuesday nights at Elite Athletics Sports Complex (Batavia/Eastgate). An additional "all levels" indoor session is being planned for March & April. This will serve as a third session for the indoor league.
